MacKenzi Vazquez, LLMSW
“Kids heal in spaces they feel genuinely seen and valued for who they were created to be, rather than who trauma has told them they are.”
Hi, I’m MacKenzi Vazquez
MacKenzi is a family therapist driven by her deep compassion and strong conviction to serve families. Before transitioning to Families Forever Counseling, she spent the last several years working in different churches in family ministry where she fostered her deep passion for walking alongside children and families. She also spent time in inner-city Detroit working with the homeless and formerly incarcerated. These very different experiences have influenced the way she views every human with dignity, empathy, and grace.
MacKenzi and her husband have been married since 2023 and recently welcomed their first child.
My Approach & Values
My goal is to foster an environment where kids feel safe to explore their trauma by walking alongside them with a posture of curiosity, empathy, and honesty. I believe every child deserves to feel safe and secure in their own mind, their relationships, and their environments.
My work is grounded in attachment-based and trauma-informed principles and partnering with parents and caregivers. Through a collaborative approach with parents, they can gain a deeper understanding of their child’s inner world and work together to repair and develop meaningful relationships with one another.
